PLOW ANCHOR

The Plow anchor, as the name implies, establishes a hold by ploughing into the bottom. It holds best in sand, stiff mud, grass and pebbled bottoms. Because it swivels on a hinged shaft, it resists pulling out with changes of direction. It is less suitable for soft mud or clay.
