You may want to bring more equipment based on your type of boat, your activity and the current and forecasted weather and water conditions. You can review the equipment you must carry aboard your boat and get<br \/>\nspecific information about each piece.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<table class=\"table\">\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th colspan=\"2\">PERSONAL LIFESAVING APPLIANCES<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<\/thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>One (1) lifejacket or PFD for each person on board.*<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>One (1) reboarding device<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/weathertoboat.ca\/fr\/notes\/\">(See Note 1)<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>One (1) buoyant heaving line at least 15 m (49&#8217;3&#8243;) long.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<div id=\"personalWatercraftPWC-markdown106\" class=\"show-list-numbers-and-dots callout\">\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">*If every person on board a personal watercraft is wearing a lifejacket or a PFD of an appropriate size, you are only required to carry:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">1) a sound-signalling device;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">2) a watertight flashlight or three pyrotechnic distress signals other than smoke signals;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">3) a magnetic compass if the personal watercraft is navigated out of sight of navigation marks; and<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">4) navigation lights if the personal watercraft is used after sunset or before sunrise or in periods of restricted visibility.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>NOTE:<\/strong> Lifejacket or PFD must be inherently buoyant.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"personalWatercraftPWC-markdown223\" class=\"show-list-numbers-and-dots\" style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 12px;\">An<br \/>\n<strong>Inherently Buoyant<\/strong> jacket is a foam vest that floats on its own.
